Holi or the festival of colours is here!

The start of the Hindu festivals which showcases the triumph of good over evil.

Just that Holi is celebrated with colours and sweets.

Since I was a child, the only festival that I have not been fond of is Holi.

The throwing of colours on faces, dirty coloured water has never been appealing to me.

Fortunately being far away from relatives as a family, we never celebrated Holi.

The only celebration that I did was calling family n friends or sending best wishes on this festival.

And yes, eating sweets. That is the best part.

Being a Punjabi, love sweets and somehow cannot do without them. As they say, without dessert our food is not digested or there is a feeling of dissatisfaction which only sweets can satisfy.

Anyways, to sign off -

It is the time to make merry

It is the time to spread colour

Colours of joy and happiness

Let there be no suffering or pain

Let us all join hands and spread an array of sparkling colours in everyone's lives

Amen!

Happy Holi
